Hyundai Elite i20 gets 56,000 bookings in four months

Dealers say, the top end variants of the Elite i20 are in high demand.

Hyundai launched the new Elite i20 on August 11th this year. Since then, the company says, it has received about 56,000 bookings. Hyundai has been doing well with the launch of the Grand, Xcent, Santa Fe and now the Elite i20.

Commenting on the milestone, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Rakesh Srivastava, Hyundai Motors India Limited said, "We are overwhelmed by (the) 56,000 customer bookings on strong appreciation and acceptance of the new Elite i20, making it a huge success. The demand of (the) Elite i20 has doubled, and in November, we sold 10,500 units. We are working towards increasing its production for faster deliveries, to offer a delightful experience to customers."

The petrol variant of the Elite i20 commands a waiting period of 2.5 months, while the diesel has 3-3.5 month waiting period depending on variant. Dealers have said that the top end variants are in demand, while the white-red and blue colours are highly sought after.
