Datsun Redigo bags 10,000 bookings

Datsun has received over 10,000 bookings for the Redigo, its recently launched entry-level hatchback. The car has bagged the bookings in a little over a month since its launch on June 7, 2016.

A rival to entry-level hatchbacks like the Maruti Alto 800 and Renault Kwid, prices for the Datsun Redigo start at Rs 2.39 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It shares its underpinnings with the Renault Kwid and is powered by the same 54hp, 0.8-litre engine as its rival from Renault.

The hatchback has a crossover-like ground-clearance of 185mm and claims a class-leading ARAI-rated fuel-economy of 25.17kpl.It’s available in five variants – D, A, T, T(O), S – of which, the ‘S’ gets a driver-side airbag. Check out the detailed break-up of the Redigo’s variants here.
