BMW’s M Performance division is putting the final touches on the M2 which is set for an online debut on October 14. A lightly camouflaged version was spotted recently giving away what the M2 could look like. Going  by the model spotted, the car will get a quad exhaust system, a new front bumper with large air intakes and vented fenders. The images also hint at a lower suspension set-up and a wider body. The boot lid sports a discreet spoiler and the tyres are wrapped around a set of black five twin-spoke alloy wheels.

BMW's M2 will be feature the 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine developing 365bhp and a peak torque of 47.41 kgm. To be offered only as a rear-wheel drive, the M2 will come with a standard six-speed manual and have the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The M2 is said to complete the 0-100kph sprint in less than 4.5 seconds and goes on to an electronically limited top speed of 250 kph. Once launched, the M2 will rival the likes of the Mercedes CLA 45 AMG and the Audi RS3.
