Audi will debut its petrol-electric Q7 e-tron 2.0 TFSI Quattro plug-in hybrid SUV at the Shanghai motor show. It will mark the first time that the company combines a TFSI plug-in hybrid with the Quattro all-wheel drive system.

The Q7 e-tron 2.0 TFSI will be differentiated from other Q7 by new designs for the single frame grille, the air inlets, the 19-inch or optional 20-inch wheels and the rear diffuser.

On the inside, standard equipment will include the Audi virtual cockpit, automatic air-conditioning and satellite navigation.

The hybrid powertrain of the Q7 e-tron 2.0 TFSI combines a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 249bhp and 37.74kgm of torque with an electric motor generating 126bhp and 35.67kgm of torque. The electric motor is incorporated into the eight-speed tiptronic transmission.

Audi claims that the Q7 e-tron 2.0 TFSI can sprint from 0-100kph in 5.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 220kph. Audi also claims that the SUV in all-electric mode can cover up to 53km in a single charge.
