Maruti Suzuki has launched a limited edition of its entry-level Alto 800 hatchback. Dubbed Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Maximum, the limited edition celebrates the milestone of 25 lakh Altos on road.

Maruti is offering the limited edition Alto 800 Maximum with benefits of upto Rs 66,666. Other additions include new music system, keyless entry, rear roof spoiler, leather seat covers, body decals and side moldings.

The Alto is powered by the 800cc three-cylinder petrol unit that makes 47.3bhp and 7kgm of torque. Transmission is handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine is also available with a factory-fitted CNG kit.

The Alto was first introduced in India in 2000 and has been one of the best-selling cars in the country ever since. Two iterations of the Alto are currently available – the Alto 800 and the more powerful Alto K10.
