More than six months after launching the VF MPV7, Vinfast India has slashed its price to Rs 20.39 lakh (ex-showroom). That’s Rs 4.1 lakh lower than the 7-seater’s launch price of Rs 24.49 lakh.
- Continues with a 60.13 kWh battery pack; claimed range is 517km
- Price cut makes it among the more affordable options in its segment
Vinfast VF MPV 7 vs three-row rivals: Price comparison
Vinfast VF MPV7 vs rivals: Price | |
Model | Price (in Rs lakh) |
Vinfast VF MPV7 | 20.39 |
Kia Carens Clavis EV | 18.04 - 25 |
Mahindra XEV 9S | 20.65 - 30.15 |
MG Hector Tomahawk EV | 20.25 - 24.25 |
BYD eMax 7 | 27.90 - 29.90 |
Compared to its three-row electric rivals, the VF MPV 7 was among the more expensive models in the segment. But now, it is among the more affordable options. Because Vinfast offers the VF MPV7 in a single, fully loaded variant, it undercuts the top-spec trims of its rivals by up to Rs 9.76 lakh.
This massive price cut by Vinfast appears to be much needed, as the VF MPV 7’s sales have had a slow start since its launch. Moreover, while buyers seek the best levels of equipment in their cars, the VF MPV 7 falls short, as mentioned in our review. Though the cabin has sufficient space, seat cushioning feels quite excessive, affecting overall seat comfort.
Vinfast VF MPV 7: Specifications
The VF MPV 7 is powered by a 60.13kWh battery pack paired with a 204hp, 280Nm front-mounted e-motor. It does a 0-100kph sprint in under 9 seconds (claimed) and can reach a top speed of 140kph. ARAI-rated range stands at 517km, while it supports AC and DC charging speeds of 6.9kW and 80kW, respectively.
With the price cut, the VF MPV7 comes across as an attractive proposition. Coupled with Vinfast’s ownership schemes, buyers can avail more incentives on the eMPV.
All prices are ex-showroom, India.
