Honda has launched an updated variant of its flagship saloon, the Accord 3.5-litre V6. The new Accord V6 now comes with an electronic sunroof, giving it an impressive panoramic feel.
Introduction of the sunroof was based on customers’ feedback and it is coupled with additional features like new ambient light, footlight, provision for mobile phone with Bluetooth connectivity and two sets of keyless entry.
The footlight and 2 sets of keyless entry features have been introduced in the 2.4-litre Accord MT and AT variants as well.
Engine department remains untouched and the V6 continues to be powered by the 3.5-litre i-VTEC engine producing a max of 271bhp and an impressive 34.5kgm of torque.
The engine features an advanced Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) system that switches between six, four, and three-cylinder combustion depending on the driving conditions. This helps the engine deliver its maximum power of 271bhp during six cylinder operation coupled with better fuel economy in VCM mode while cruising.
The Accord V6 now has better NVH package thanks to the introduction of the new Active Control Engine Mounts (ACM) and Active Noise Control (ANC) systems that are specifically designed to complement the VCM technology.
The Accord 3.5-litre V6 is available at Rs 26.15 lakh while the 2.4-litre MT and 2.4-litre AT are priced at Rs 18.52 lakh and Rs 19.27 lakh respectively (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
