Mercedes India has announced reduced ex-showroom prices for its bestselling model, the E-Class long-wheelbase sedan (V214). The three E-Class variants sold in India have now become less expensive by up to Rs 5.2 lakh. This comes days after the Union government revised GST rates for passenger vehicles.

Mercedes E Class LWB engine and gearbox options
The range-starting E 200 variant has a 204hp, 2-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The E 200d stands out as the only diesel variant in the E-Class line-up, featuring a 197hp, 2-litre, 4-cylinder motor. Lastly, the top-spec 381hp, E450 AMG Line offers a 3-litre, 6-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine and is the most powerful in this set. All these engines come paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, which provides an additional 23hp and are mated to a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. However, only the E 450 gets Mercedes' 4Matic AWD system.
New exterior shade
Mercedes had launched the current E-Class about a year ago, on October 9, 2024. And to commemorate its almost a year-long run, the luxury car brand introduced a new Verde Silver paint for the E-Class. The other 4 colour options of the E-Class include Graphite Grey, High-Tech Silver, Nautic Blue and Obsidian Black.
