Maserati GranTurismo, GranCabrio facelift powertrains

The GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelift are offered in ICE (490 and Trofeo) and all-electric (Folgore) versions. The 490 replaces the entry-spec Modena variant from the pre-facelift model. ICE versions retain the 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo petrol 'Nettuno' engine. It produces 490hp and 600Nm in the 490 guise and 590hp and 650Nm in the Trofeo version. The latter version's power has been increased by 50hp from the pre-facelift model. Both versions utilise an 8-speed gearbox that sends power to all four wheels, but it has been recalibrated for quicker responses.

The GranTurismo takes 3.9 seconds to go from 0-100kph and has a top speed of 302kph, while the more powerful Trofeo does 0-100kph in 3.5 seconds and can reach 320kph. Meanwhile, the GranCabrio does 0-100kph in 4 seconds and has a top speed of 300kph, while the Trofeo has a 0-100kph time of 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 316kph.

Folgore versions of both the GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelift retain the previous version’s 92.5kWh battery pack. This battery pack is paired with three e-motors (one at the front and two at the rear). Maximum power output stands at 761hp and 1,340 with the GranTurismo Folgore and GranCabrio Folgore accelerating from 0-100kph in 2.5 seconds and 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 325kph and 290kph respectively.

All models come with an air suspension setup as standard. Only the base-spec and Folgore versions get a new ‘Country’ mode. It replaces the comfort mode from the pre-facelift version and increases ground clearance by 20mm at up to 120kph. This driving mode, Maserati says, makes the car more capable on uneven road surfaces. Meanwhile, the 'Corso' track mode is exclusive to the Trofeo.

Thanks to a new system that disconnects the front motor when all-wheel traction is not required, the WLTP-claimed range has increased from 450km to 540km. Topping up the battery from 20-80 percent can be done in 18 minutes with a 270kW DC fast charger. AC charging support is rated at 22kW, with 100km range in an hour.

Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelift exterior

Visually, changes to the exterior of the 2026 GranTurismo and GranCabrio are mainly focused on the fascia. The front bumper takes inspiration from the MCPura, with an aggressive look, reshaped air intakes for better downforce, and a redesigned splitter. Meanwhile, the LED tail-lamps sport clear-lens detailing. The GranCabrio's roof opens and closes in 14 seconds and 16 seconds, respectively. All-electric Folgore versions get an exclusive design for the front and rear bumpers, aero-optimised alloy wheels, illuminated fender vents and badges finished in copper.

Additionally, Maserati has introduced new paint options for the exterior, badges, and exhaust tips via the Fuoriserie personalisation programme. New paint choices include Green Jupiter Matte, Blu Denim, Bronzo Lucido, Bronzo Matte, Grigio Mistero, Rosso Velluto and Oro Lirico. There's also optional 'Tridente' rims which get a gloss black design inspired by the MCPura which increases the track width by 10mm.

Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelift interior

Inside, the GranTurismo and GranCabrio get a new race-inspired octagonal steering wheel with dark satin aluminium spokes, a redesigned digital clock with an octagonal metal rim featuring new graphics, metal knobs for the drive selector, and a parking function integrated into the steering-wheel paddles. There’s also a new system that has been added to track driver behaviour and fatigue. Like the exterior, the interior too can be specced with a variety of customisation options.
