Mahindra has confirmed that it'll be launching three new models in India by June 2027. While the brand is yet to confirm all of their names, the line-up will include the Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck, along with the production-spec versions of the Vision S and BE 07. There will also be a new light commercial vehicle and an update to an existing model, whose details Mahindra hasn’t disclosed yet. Speaking at the brand’s Q2 FY27 results media briefing, Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director and CEO of Auto and Farm Sectors at Mahindra said, “We have five big launches that we’re expecting in the first half of 2027.”
Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler
Launch expected by April 2027
The Scorpio Lifestyler is Mahindra's lifestyle pickup truck based on the 2023 Global Pik Up concept. Unveiled in August 2026, it’s underpinned by the same body-on-frame chassis as the Scorpio N SUV. Mahindra has confirmed that prices will start from below Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom), with the launch expected to happen by April 2027.
The Scorpio Lifestyler could get the Scorpio N's 175hp 2.2-litre diesel and 203hp 2.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engines. Transmission options are likely to include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic, while four-wheel drive is expected as well. The new Mahindra pickup will rival the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.
Mahindra BE 07
Launch expected by June 2027
The all-new electric SUV here is most likely the BE 07, which will sit above the BE 6 as the second model under Mahindra's ‘BE’ sub-brand. Spy shots of test mules have revealed a triple-screen dashboard, while the EV could also come with a glass roof with illuminated elements, multi-colour ambient lighting, dashcam, Level-2 ADAS and a 5-seat configuration.
The BE 07 will be based on the INGLO platform that currently underpins the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S. It’s likely to get the BE 6's 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs, while rivals will include the Tata Harrier EV, Vinfast VF7 and BYD Atto 3.
Mahindra Vision S-based SUV
Launch expected by June 2027
The first NU_IQ-based model will be the production version of the Vision S concept, which was revealed in August 2025. As part of its Vision 2027 roadmap, Mahindra said its NU_IQ-based SUVs would enter production from 2027, while the new platform is said to support petrol, diesel, hybrid and fully electric powertrains.
Camouflaged test mules of this upcoming sub-4-metre SUV have been spied several times, revealing several exterior and interior design features. These include a boxy silhouette, short front & rear overhangs, flush door handles, a panoramic sunroof and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The interior revealed an XUV 7XO-like two-spoke steering wheel and a touchscreen that resembles the 10.25-inch unit found in the Thar line-up. The Vision S is likely to sit above the XUV 3XO in Mahindra's line-up.
Mahindra SUV and EV production capacity
Monthly capacity to go up to 82,000 units by March 2027
Mahindra is also adding production capacity to meet demand for its SUVs. "We are operating at full capacity or a little more than full capacity, in fact," Jejurikar said. The brand's combined monthly SUV and EV capacity stood at around 68,000 units at the end of September 2026. This is set to go up to 82,000 units by the end of FY27, with 70,000 units for ICE SUVs and 12,000 units for EVs.
A portion of this increased capacity will be for the upcoming models. “We are talking about adding capacity for one NU_IQ platform product and one EV product by the end of March, and we are on track for that,” Jejurikar added. A further 10,000 units of NU_IQ capacity at Chakan will take Mahindra’s total SUV and EV capacity to around 92,000 units a month by the end of March 2028. Lastly, the brand is also setting up a manufacturing facility in Nagpur. This is expected to add about 20,000 units per month to overall volumes by September 2029, followed by another 20,000 units by September 2030.
