The Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 3.54 crore (ex-showroom). This is the fourth iteration of the V10 supercar to be currently offered in India, and as with its RWD coupe sibling launched in 2020, it sends 610 naturally aspirated horsepower to the road via its rear wheels only.

  • Huracan Evo RWD Spyder 5.2 V10 produces 610hp and 560Nm
  • Powers rear wheels only via 7-speed dual-clutch auto
  • Fabric roof folds in 17 seconds at speeds up to 50kph

Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder engine and performance

The Huracan Evo RWD Spyder, as with all Huracans before it, is powered by a 5,204cc naturally aspirated V10, and in this guise produces 610hp at a lofty 8,000rpm and 560Nm at 6,500rpm. As the name implies, power goes straight to the rear wheels, via a seven-speed dual-clutch auto, unencumbering the front axle of the weight and complexity of driveshafts.

0-100kph is dealt with in a claimed 3.5sec, which is 0.4sec slower than the AWD Spyder model, and 0-200kph is done in just 9.6 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 324kph. Lamborghini claims a dry weight of 1,509kg for the Evo RWD Spyder, which is a whole 120kg heavier than the RWD coupe. This is largely down to the fabric roof and its folding mechanism, which takes 17 seconds to deploy or retract, and can be done at up to speeds of 50kph.

Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder price and specification

The RWD Spyder costs Rs 3.54 crore, ex-showroom, making it about Rs 32 lakh more expensive than the RWD Coupe and about Rs 56 lakh less expensive than the AWD Spyder. This is on par with a Ferrari Portofino, the brand’s entry level convertible supercar, which costs around Rs 3.5 crore.

Apart from the inherent mechanical differences that allow it to be less expensive, namely no AWD system and no rear-wheel steering, Lamborghini has managed this competitive price by removing some of the standard equipment from the AWD version. Carbon-ceramic brakes, adaptive dampers, parking sensors and the nose lift function are all no longer standard, but can be added as cost options.

Lamborghini now sells the Huracan Evo in four guises in India – AWD coupe and Spyder, and RWD coupe and Spyder, along with the Urus SUV and the Aventador supercar.
