The Compass has proven its dependability to Jeep and perhaps even FCA. With the other models showing dwindling sales, Jeep has sold over 19,000 units of the Compass since its launch on July 31, 2017. Recently, the manufacturer achieved a production milestone of 25,000 units of the Compass, out of which 5,000 were for the export markets.

Out of the total units sold, 80 percent of the sales are attributed to the diesel model, while the petrol makes up the remaining. The company hasn't shared any information about the variants in demand, but according to the dealers, it's the top-end Limited variant that's been attracting most buyers. In paint shades, it's white and silver that's most preferred.

After garnering an impressive response for the Compass, Jeep has streamlined the production of the model and has managed to reduce the waiting period to 45 days from four months. With localisation level at 65 percent, the carmaker has managed to give the Compass a competitive price that allows it to stand tall against the likes of rivals from Mahindra and Hyundai.

FCA has also launched Jeep 4x4 Month, a programme that starts from April 4 and ends on April 30. Besides a Camp Jeep experience for owners and potential customers, the brand is also offering an upgrade from the Limited 4x2 2.0D variant to the Limited 4x4 2.0D trim for Rs 50,000. Normally, the price difference between the two trims is Rs 1.97 lakh, resulting in savings of nearly Rs 1.47 lakh.
