A total of 57,676 vehicles, which include City, Jazz and Civic models, will be recalled to replace driver-side airbag inflators.

Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has announced a voluntarily recall of its previous generation City, Jazz and Civic models. The recall is a part of Honda’s preventive global campaign concerning an issue with the driver-side airbag inflators.

According to a company statement, the replacement will be carried out free of cost at HCIL dealerships across India in a phased manner, starting from February 20, 2016. The company will get in touch with customers directly to inform them of this move.

Customers can also log on to www.hondacarindia.com and check whether their car falls under this scheme by submitting their 17-character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
