The central and local governments have been easing restrictions on economic activities, in order to help businesses return to some form of normalcy. Honda India is utilising this opportunity and has reopened 118 showrooms and 155 service centres across the country, adhering to the directives in place.

In addition to reopening dealerships, Honda has also laid out new standard operating procedures for its staff and facilities, with regards to sanitisation and hygiene. Specific protocols are being set in place for entry into dealerships, customer test drives, sales activity, receiving cars for service, shop floor handling and finally, delivering the serviced car back to the customer. These measures are being taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Once the dealerships have reopened, Honda plans to increase its focus on the recently introduced online retail platform – Honda From Home. The carmaker hopes that this will help customers in their purchasing process.
