New lighting elements and changes to the fascia

The teaser video shows a revised grille with glossy hexagonal design elements. The Honda logo has moved from the grille to the bonnet. Segmented LED daytime running lamps (DRLs), similar to the City facelift, are also seen. The headlights and fog lamp housing seem to be similar to those of the outgoing Elevate. Another new element is the connected LED tail-light. Keen-eyed viewers can also spot a camera pod only on the left outside rearview mirror (ORVM), confirming that the Elevate facelift will continue with a Lane Watch camera system only.

The interior was not shown as extensively as the exterior, but a glimpse of the dashboard reveals a fresh design with more white leatherette padding and stitching. Amber ambient lighting strips can be seen on the dashboard and door pads. Ambient lighting is offered as a dealership-level accessory fitment on the outgoing Elevate.

While changes to the feature list are still under wraps, additions could include a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, a powered co-driver’s seat and rear sunblinds to make the Elevate more competitive in the midsize SUV segment.

Expected to continue with the same powertrain options

The current Elevate’s engine bay is shown for representational purposes only.

The Honda Elevate facelift is expected to retain the 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 121hp and 145Nm and is available with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-step CVT. A 1.5-litre strong-hybrid petrol powertrain offered with the City is unlikely to make it to the Elevate facelift.

The Honda Elevate prices are expected to be revised with the facelift. Currently, the Elevate starts at Rs 11.81 lakh and goes up to Rs 16.36 lakh (ex-showroom), rivalling midsize SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Victoris, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Renault Duster.
