Suzuki Motorcycle recently launched an updated version of their Hayate bike in India. Powered by a 112.8cc engine which is air-cooled and has a single overhead camshaft design, mated to a four-speed gearbox, the Hayate makes 8.2bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 0.9kgm of torque which peaks at 5,500rpm. The motorcycle is offered with an electric starting system and the regular kick-start mechanism. Suzuki has included a maintenance-free battery on the refreshed bike.

Fairly lightweight, the Hayate weighs just 114kg and comes with a 10.5-litre fuel tank.  A set of telescopic forks are provided up front and the dual shocks at rear are now five-step adjustable. Both the alloy wheels are equipped with drum brakes. Suzuki now provides tubeless tyres on the Hayate too.

The Suzuki Hayate costs Rs 49,683 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available with new graphic schemes in red, grey, white and two shades of black.
