The 2014 Bike Festival of India was recently flagged off with a national safety ride in Delhi. The safety ride, sponsored by Triumph Motorcycles, comprises of three female and six male riders. Astride Triumph Speed Triples and Triumph Thunderbird Stroms, the riders will be going to various cities across India like Delhi, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin, Kolkata and Chandigarh, to interact with bikers from different communities over a span of one month.

The chief aim of this ride is to spread a message about road safety. It will also serve to spread a message about the bike festival that will take place at the Buddh International Circuit. Organisers say, the festival is expected to see a gathering of over 120 riding groups from across the country, and will host various in-house events such as drag races, stunt riding and group rides. Expect bike accessories' exhibitions and mini festivals at the venue too.
