New Norton 450 details
The bike is expected to launch in India in the second half of 2027
Norton recently trademarked three names in India – Roven, Inter and Avalon – and this model may bear one of them. While peak output power hasn’t been revealed, we know it will be powered by a new 454cc single-cylinder engine that produces 45Nm of torque.
The engine is housed in an aluminium frame, which would be a first in its segment, and visually, it appears similar to the one used on the Atlas models. The wheels also appear to be the same design as the Atlas’s, and while we’ll have to wait for the full reveal tomorrow, they are likely 17-inch units at both ends. Suspension appears to include a USD fork and likely a monoshock at the rear, while braking hardware unsurprisingly comprises discs at both ends.
In terms of design, the bike features a single flowing body panel that runs from the fuel tank to the rear section, ending in the rear grab rails. It also has a stubby tail and a relatively short seat.
On the features front, we know the bike gets an 8-inch TFT display, which is as large as the unit on Norton’s bigger models, the Manx R and the Atlas bikes. The motorcycle in the image has a pearlescent lilac finish, and we can expect to learn more when it is fully unveiled at EICMA tomorrow.
As we’d reported, the bike is expected to be built at TVS’s Hosur plant. TVS plans to begin Norton’s India rollout in the January-March 2027 quarter or sooner, starting with the Atlas and followed by the Manx. This single-cylinder model is expected to launch in India and overseas at the same time in the second half of 2027.
