Piaggio India has updated prices for its Aprilia 457 line-up, but has offset the GST impact with added value for customers.
- Piaggio absorbs full GST hike
- Aprilia Tuono 457 price stays at Rs 3.95 lakh
- RS 457 now costs Rs 4.35 lakh with quickshifter complementary
Customers receive benefits of Rs 35,000
This includes the GST absorption and the added kit.
The Aprilia Tuono 457 remains unaffected by the latest adjustment, continuing at its ex-showroom, Maharashtra price of Rs 3.95 lakh as Piaggio has absorbed the full GST increase.
The RS 457, meanwhile, is now priced at Rs 4.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra), up from Rs 4.20 lakh earlier. Alongside the Rs 15,000 increase, Piaggio is bundling in a quickshifter as complementary worth Rs 20,500, which more than offsets the hike and effectively adds value for prospective buyers.
Much like Aprilia, KTM has also chosen to absorb the GST-driven hike on the RC 390 that's priced at Rs 3.23 lakh, ensuring its sticker price remains unchanged. Yamaha, on the other hand, will actually benefit from the revision – the MT-03 and R3’s 321cc displacement now falls under a lower GST slab, which will translate into a price cut of ‘up to Rs 30,000’, claim company officials.
In effect, prices across this category of motorcycles have remained largely unaffected despite the GST shuffle, with Yamaha being the only manufacturer to reap the benefits of a genuine reduction.
