Hero will launch the new Maestro Edge 125 and Pleasure 110 on May 13, 2019. The Maestro Edge 125 first made its debut at the Auto Expo 2018 along with the Duet 125 (which was later rebranded and launched as the Destini 125). The new Pleasure, however, will be revealed at the launch in a few days.

Unlike the Destini 125 that is targeted at an older audience, the Maestro Edge 125 targets younger buyers with its sharp, sporty styling. That said, the design showcased to us at the Expo hasn’t changed much when compared to the regular 110cc Maestro Edge. The upcoming scooter will share its motor with the Destini 125, which is Hero’s first 125cc engine. While this engine makes 8.7hp and 10.2Nm of torque in the Destini 125, Hero may retune it slightly for use in the Maestro Edge. We could even see the fuel-injected variant produce slightly higher figures.

The Maestro Edge 125 also features an external fuel-filler cap, digi-analogue instrumentation, along with side stand and service indicators. Hero’s start-stop system (Hero i3S) will also make it to this scooter. While Hero could offer the front disc brake on both variants of the Maestro Edge 125 – carb and FI – there is a higher chance of the company giving it as standard on the FI variant and not making it available at all on the carb variant to keep costs down.

As for the updated Pleasure, it is expected to get a big redesign, along with an updated engine. The scooter is most certainly set to get the 110cc motor that is found on the Duet and the regular Maestro Edge, replacing the 102cc engine it currently uses. This 110cc unit it is set to get makes 8.1hp and 8.7Nm of torque in the Duet, but it remains to be seen how Hero will tune it for use in the new Pleasure.

In terms of competition, the Maestro Edge 125 will go up against scooters likes of the Honda Grazia and the TVS Ntorq 125. The Pleasure 110, meanwhile, will take on scooters like the Yamaha Fascino and the Honda Dio. The Maestro Edge 125 is expected to be priced slightly higher than the Destini 125 (which starts at Rs 55,080), while the Pleasure 110 will cost a little more than the 102cc Pleasure that starts at Rs 45,100.
