McLaren has unveiled a special edition Artura to celebrate 1000 Formula 1 Grand Prix race starts by its racing division. It is dubbed the Artura 1000GP, and was developed by McLaren Special Operations (MSO). The supercar gets a unique livery that takes inspiration from its racing division's MCL40 Formula 1 race car livery for this year's Monaco GP. While the car is largely finished in black, there are 1000GP graphics on the bonnet, lower body sides, and ORVM covers in a Papaya Orange finish. Additionally, there's a Papaya Orange finish for the contrasting pinstripes on the front splitter, rear diffuser, and brake callipers. The interior features a plaque finished in the same paint job. Only 10 examples of this special edition supercar will exist. However, it retains the standard models' 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 paired with a rear-mounted electric motor producing a combined 680hp and 720Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
