Italian firm Kimera has unveiled the K-39, its first all-new hypercar developed from the ground up. Inspired by the Lancia Beta Montecarlo Turbo Group 5 racer, the K-39 combines retro endurance-racing design cues with modern hypercar engineering. Power comes from a Koenigsegg-developed 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing up to 1,000hp and 1,200Nm, paired with a 7-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive. The K-39 also gets a carbon-fibre monocoque, pushrod suspension and active aerodynamic elements developed with Dallara. Alongside the standard Stradale version, Kimera has also revealed an extreme Pikes Peak-spec model with Martini Racing-inspired livery and a high-downforce aero package.
