Toyota Hyryder or Honda Elevate: which is better for hilly regions?

The Hyryder petrol manual uses the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as the Maruti Brezza, Grand Vitara, Ciaz and Ertiga.

I have shortlisted the Toyota Hyryder petrol manual and the Honda Elevate manual. I like the Hyryder’s looks and size, but I am concerned that it might be a tad underpowered in its segment. Will it be problematic while driving in hilly regions?

Autocar India says: Your concerns regarding the Hyryder’s mild-hybrid engine are not unfounded. It is actually Suzuki’s 1.5-litre unit used in cars like the Brezza and Ertiga. We feel the Elevate is a better choice overall as it’s nicer to drive, has better ride and handling, and is more spacious, too. The only issue with the Elevate is that the engine is a bit noisy when revved hard.
