Follow usThe Harley-Davidson X440 T gets many upgrades over the previous model. Here are six things to know if you are in the market to buy one.
The Harley-Davidson X440 T uses a 440cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine that produces 27hp at 6,000rpm, has a peak torque of 38Nm at 4,000rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike gets a redesigned tail section, a better finish throughout and new parts, such as bar-end mirrors, to enhance its overall appeal. Harley-Davidson says it has made over 70 changes to the bike. One of the most important updates is the ride-by-wire system replacing the cable throttle system. This has given the bike two riding modes: Road and Rain.
The bike has a 13.5-litre fuel tank and a kerb weight of 192kg. Its seat height is 805mm.
The X440 T gets the same 3.5-inch TFT screen as before, with smartphone connectivity. In terms of safety, it has disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, as well as a traction control system. The ABS can also be switched off at the rear wheel. Additionally, it now gets a panic-brake light system that activates all indicators to blink during emergency braking, warning others.
The Harley-Davidson X440 T is available in four colours: Pearl Blue, Pearl Red, Pearl White and Vivid Black, all with a glossy finish. Compared to the X440, it misses out on the badging on the fuel tank, getting a sticker instead.
The Harley-Davidson X440 T is priced at Rs 2.79 lakh, making it around Rs 24,000 more expensive than the standard X440’s top variant.
