Royal Enfield has finally launched the new Bullet 350, signalling the demise of the 346cc UCE engine that rescued the company from the brink of bankruptcy. The updated Bullet is now built on the J-platform architecture that underpins all the other RE 350s, and gets the same 349cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine seen in the Classic, Meteor and Hunter 350.

The new Bullet is being offered in 3 variants and 5 different colour options, with prices starting at Rs 1.74 lakh and going up to Rs 2.16 lakh. Here’s what the lineup looks like.

Military Red, Military Black

Rs 1,73,562

The base-spec Bullet 350 is the ‘Military’ version, being offered in two colours: Military Red and Military Black. It comes equipped with a 153mm rear drum brake and single-channel ABS, which helps keep costs down. As a result, it is priced at Rs 1,73,562, meaning that the Bullet 350 starts roughly Rs 20,000 lower than the Classic 350.

Standard Maroon, Standard Black

Rs 1,97,436

If you want the safety net of dual-channel ABS, you’ll need to shell out at least Rs 24,000 more for the ‘Standard’ versions of the new Bullet. These bring in a rear disc brake, as well as the traditional hand-painted pinstripes on the fuel tank and 3D tank logos. There are two colours here: Standard Maroon and Standard Black, both priced at Rs 1,97,436.

Black Gold

Rs 2,15,801

Sitting at the top of the range is the Black Gold version of the updated Bullet, which differs from the Standard variants only in the fact that it gets a dual-tone paint scheme. Like the Standard, it sports a 270mm rear disc brake, dual-channel ABS, hand-painted pinstripes and 3D tank logos. It is priced at Rs 2,15,801, making it roughly Rs 9,000 more affordable than the top-spec Classic 350.
