A long list of features has become a strong selling point for many motorcycles. Buyers now often prioritise extensive and unique features over a product’s overall strength, pushing manufacturers to cram in as much as they can to stay competitive. This list follows our earlier compilation of the most affordable bikes with a TFT display.

However, not all features are gimmicks – some genuinely add value and enhance practicality. One such touring-friendly feature is cruise control. Here’s a list of the top 10 bikes, spanning from budget-friendly options, including a commuter, to high-end machines equipped with cruise control.

10. Brixton Cromwell 1200

Rs 8.24 lakh

The Brixton Cromwell 1200 is another retro-styled motorcycle that sits alongside the Bonneville T120 on this list. Like the Triumph, the Brixton is powered by a 1,200cc engine and also offers cruise control as part of its feature set.

However, it has the same drawback as the T120 – tubed tyres. This setup can be a hassle during long-distance touring, as it makes puncture repairs more difficult and, ultimately, limits its touring potential.

9. KTM 390 Adventure

Rs 3.95 lakh

Moving to the budget end of the spectrum, the KTM 390 Adventure received a generational update last year. With this revision, KTM equipped the 390 Adventure with cruise control straight from the factory. It differentiates itself from the 390 Adventure X by means of a larger 21-inch front wheel, a fully adjustable suspension setup and tubeless spoked wheels.

8. KTM 390 Adventure X

Rs 3.26 lakh

The Adventure X was introduced alongside the more expensive 390 Adventure, and at the time, KTM did not offer cruise control. In fact, much of the electronics suite, including traction control and cornering aids, was reserved only for the top-spec 390 Adventure, and there was no way to get it retrofitted since the features were governed by the IMU, which the X missed.

Recently, though, the 390 Adventure X got an update and received the complete electronics suite, including cornering ABS, cruise control, traction control and a 6-axis IMU, all for a price hike of Rs 12,000, making it one of the most affordable adventure tourers in India to feature cruise control.

7. KTM 390 Duke

Rs 2.97 lakh

KTM updated the 390 Duke in 2023, equipping it with a new 399cc engine. While the update brought several improvements, it initially missed out on cruise control. However, after introducing the feature on the 390 Adventure, KTM has now added it to the 390 Duke.

This is a welcome move, especially since many Duke 390 owners use the bike not just for leisurely commutes but also for touring. The addition of cruise control enhances its versatility.

6. TVS Apache RR 310

Rs 2.56 lakh

Interestingly, the TVS Apache RR 310 is the only faired motorcycle on this list to come equipped with a factory-fitted cruise control system. Recently, TVS went all out to equip its flagship Apache duo with as many features as possible.

5. TVS Apache RTR 310

Rs 2.21 lakh

Starting at Rs 2.21 lakh, the TVS Apache RTR 310 was earlier the most affordable bike in the country to offer cruise control from the factory but lost that title to the newly launched Hero Glamour X. As mentioned earlier, TVS has thrown everything but the kitchen sink at the Apache Duo. This is also the only bike on this list to come equipped with cornering cruise control, which adjusts and reduces the set cruise speed based on the motorcycle’s lean angle.

4. TVS Apache RTX

Rs 1.99 lakh

The TVS Apache RTX is available in three variants with prices starting at Rs 1.99 lakh. The bike comes with cruise control as standard across all three variants – Base, Top and BTO (Built to Order).

Aside from cruise control, other notable features on the RTX include four riding modes (Urban, Rain, Tour and Rally) that alter ABS and traction control intervention, and a bi-directional quickshifter on the Top and BTO variants.

3. Hero Xtreme 160R 4V

Rs 1.34 lakh

The Xtreme 160R 4V is the most recent addition to this list, with cruise control now offered on the top-spec variant priced at Rs 1.34 lakh. Like the Xtreme 125R, it gets a ride-by-wire throttle and three riding modes – Rain, Road and Sport – which can be toggled via updated switchgear and a new colour-LCD display shared with the Xtreme 250R.

2. Hero Xtreme 125R

Rs 1.04 lakh

The Hero Xtreme 125R followed in the footsteps of the Glamour X and became the second motorcycle in the 125cc class to offer cruise control when an updated variant launched earlier this month. Priced at Rs 1.04 lakh, this variant also adds dual-channel ABS and a ride-by-wire throttle system that enables three riding modes – Power, Road and Eco. All of these features are managed via a colour LCD display borrowed from the Glamour X.

1. Hero Glamour X

Rs 83,000 onwards

In a segment-first move, Hero equipped its humble commuter, the Glamour X, with cruise control. Priced from Rs 83,000 following the GST reduction, the Glamour X is the most affordable motorcycle in India to offer this convenience feature.
