Is there any possibility that Mahindra launch the ROXX 7-seater with front-facing third row seats?

A seven-seater version of the Mahindra Thar Roxx with front-facing third-row seats is highly unlikely. If you are looking for a rugged seven-seater SUV with proper front-facing third-row seating, Mahindra already offers the Scorpio N, which fits that role much better.
The Mahindra Scorpio N shares its engine options with the Thar Roxx, although they are tuned to deliver higher power and torque, as it is a bigger and heavier vehicle. One more thing worth keeping in mind is that the Scorpio N is due for an update, which is expected early next year.

Hello Mam/Sir, We already own a wonderful car, an Alto K10, which I have driven across multiple terrains — from smooth highways to challenging hilly roads that even some 4x4s find hard to tackle. I don’t plan to sell it, but since it’s time for an upgrade, we are considering a new car, probably a compact SUV, for our family of four. I am 6 ft tall and everyone in my family is tall as well. We will use this new car mostly for local driving, but we already have the Alto K10 for that purpose. We want something we can drive comfortably on long rides and in rough terrain, especially in the mountains, as well as on highways. I am an avid traveler and I love to drive. We need a manual petrol car. We want a car that packs a punch in performance without compromising on features. It must be safe, solid, and backed by good after-sales service and low maintenance. Our budget is not more than ₹20 lakhs.

You can consider the Mahindra Thar Roxx. Its rear-wheel-drive layout will come in handy when driving in rough, hilly regions. Furthermore, its 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine is strong, the 6-speed manual gearbox is smooth to operate, and its highway ride quality is quite good, although not as good as most monocoque offerings in the same price range. The Thar Roxx has you covered on space and features, too, and its road presence is also second to none. Alternatively, you can consider the more sophisticated Mahindra XUV 7XO for its fantastic suspension setup - it is an excellent long-distance tourer.

I am 6 ft 2 in tall and want to buy a compact SUV. I am a bit confused between the Hyundai Creta / Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, and Tata Elevate. Please suggest a suitable choice based on better ride quality and comfort, especially for long rides.

Given your height, the Tata Sierra would be the better option among the rest. The Sierra gets a spacious cabin with good headroom and is a comfy cruiser over long drives thanks to the option of a diesel engine. Even the turbo-petrol is punchy, has good performance and is enjoyable to drive. The Seltos is also not too far behind, and while it isn't as roomy as the Sierra, the quality of the cabin is better, and it also gets a diesel engine that is quite nice on long trips. Where it falls behind the Sierra is the ride comfort, and hence we would recommend the Sierra for its all-round positives given your requirements.

My maximum budget is ₹23 lakh, and I will be driving mainly in the city for about 1800-2000 km per month. I am comparing the Tata Harrier (petrol automatic) with the Skoda Kushaq (petrol automatic with DSG). Which variant should I choose for my usage?

Since your running is quite high and that too in the city, a strong hybrid powertrain would be a good option to consider. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara or the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder are mid-size SUVs with a strong hybrid powertrain and are excellent in the city. The battery and motor provide enough power for everyday driving, and they offer good ride comfort too. That said, if you do not prefer a strong-hybrid SUV, the new updated Skoda Kushaq will be launching soon. It gets the same engine as before, but the 1.0-litre TSI motor will not get an 8-speed automatic instead. If you are a keen driver and enjoy getting behind the wheel, the Kushaq would be a better choice. We would recommend that you wait for the launch. The Tata Harrier just got a new petrol engine, which is refined, but it's a bit too big for the city and isn't as polished as the Kushaq.
