I own a Wagon R and like its space, ease of driving, and entry/exit due to its tall, boxy doors and seats. I have back pain, often use a driver, and also use the back seat. While driving, I often deal with zigzag traffic in Bengaluru and don’t enjoy driving much. I test-drove the Nexon, but entry and exit were difficult due to the door shape. Which car should I buy as an upgrade, focusing on better safety, boot space, and modern features than the Wagon R, without spending too much?

You can consider upgrading to the Citroen Basalt. It checks most of your key boxes, easy access, a spacious cabin, and a large boot. It’s comparable in size to the Hyundai Creta but is priced closer to the Tata Nexon. While it includes all essential features, it misses out on a few wow elements like a sunroof and push-button start.
