I am a 6'2" male weighing about 92 kg. I want to buy a new electric scooty or scooter with a daily range of 50-60 km. I live in Uttar Pradesh and will be riding on poor road conditions. Please advise which model I should buy.

Considering your physique, we would recommend e-scooters like the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube or River Indie. All three are spacious and comfortable, although the Indie is the largest of them all and likely to be the best bet in this regard. If there is a River showroom near you, you can go with the Indie. If not, then either of the Bajaj or TVS models will serve you decently well. Given your 60km daily run, we'd recommend picking a variant with a battery larger than 3kWh.

With a weekly running of around 650km, you are clocking over 30,000km a year, which is well above the threshold where fuel efficiency and running costs become the most important factor. Your usage pattern is also very clear: long weekend highway runs of 300km each way, plus some city driving during the week. This is exactly the kind of usage where a diesel engine makes the most sense. EVs are not the right fit here. While they offer very low running costs, your 300km weekend runs would require careful planning around charging infrastructure. Petrol is also not ideal at this mileage, as the fuel cost difference compared to diesel becomes very significant over time.In terms of cars, the Mahindra XUV 7XO diesel is the best fit for your needs. It is a strong highway performer, comfortable for long distances, and well within your budget. If you want something slightly smaller, the Kia Seltos diesel is also a very good option. Both cars will give you the efficiency, reliability and comfort you need for your usage pattern.

This is a very valid question, but in our opinion it deserves a closer look at both motorcycles. The used Gen 1 KTM 390 Duke is a raw, unadulterated pocket rocket, but considering it is nearly 12 years old, you will surely have to spend much more on maintenance and perhaps replace worn-out parts, which will not only be expensive but also time-consuming, as some spares for older discontinued KTMs have started to get a little difficult to obtain.The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, on the other hand, will be a brand new bike with a warranty, compatible with E20 fuel and a far more relaxed ownership experience. It is also a genuinely quick and capable motorcycle in its own right, and while it may not have the same raw edge as the old 390 Duke, it is a far more sensible long-term purchase.This is sort of a head vs heart situation, and if you have more than one bike in your garage, then sure, go for the KTM, but if this is to be your sole mode of transport or only two-wheeler, the Bajaj bike is the more logical purchase.

I am seeking a versatile bike suitable for city commuting, highway travel, and challenging roads, including off-road conditions. My primary concern is the comfort of both me and my mother, who will be the primary passenger. I am 6 ft tall, my budget is 2 lacs, and I expect a minimum of 30 kmpl. I have considered the Triumph Scrambler 400X, but the pillion seat height is a concern. I am now considering the Speed 400 and CB350. I do not favour RE or KTM bikes. Please provide your suggestions. A word of caution first: none of the bikes you have shortlisted will fit within your budget; you will have to extend it significantly to accommodate them. Also, for your needs, the Hero Xpulse 210 seems the better fit overall. It can easily tackle broken roads and off-road conditions while maintaining good composure when riding on tarmac. Yes, this Hero Motocorp bike will have a taller pillion seat, but with a bit of practice and after a brief acclimatization period, it should likely be a non-issue for your pillion. Take a test ride of the Xpulse and then go ahead with your purchase.

Hi team, I come from a tier 3 city and planning to purchase first car but want a bigger suv for long term ownership. The drive would mostly be on the highway to jaipur as my city itself is too small. Consider an average running of 500km per month . What could be my best option. I am inclined for kia seltos for it's overall look ,ownership reviews and premium cabin experience. In the seltos as well what can be a better option just go with the base hte as i am thinking of taking a manual as the overall montly km are not large in the city l. So what should i choose - hte with all the basic feature and save 3 lacs for future modification or go with the htk manual . It has a lot of imp features but is it justified to spend extra 3 lacs
