Assuming this is your first car, and since you have safety as a priority, we would recommend the Tata Punch. The car's compact dimensions and taller seating height make it quite easy to drive and manage in tight and crowded conditions. As with most of Tata Motors' products, the car is very well equipped on the safety front, and it has scored a 5 star rating in the BNCAP crash tests. Opt for the Pure Plus variant as this will be around your budget and would be decently equipped.
