I own a diesel 2011 Tata Manza and I really like the car. I want to get it modified as I have no plans of selling it. I am looking for a custom car shop in Delhi that can help me with interior (leather upholstery, dashboard) and exterior  (spoilers, LEDs) upgrades.

Also, I have noticed that my car’s resale value is not much and though it has already done 1.5 lakh km, I have not had any problems with it; just basic mechanical jobs. Hope spending some money on such an upgrade is worth it rather than investing in a new car. Please suggest.

AAA It is great to know that your beloved Manza is still going strong. But we still recommend that you don’t spend a lot of cash on unnecessary modifications as they may cause their own problems and spoil the ownership experience that has been good for all these years.

If you are planning to keep the car for a while, it might be a good idea to invest in freshening up the upholstery; it will give the interiors a fresh lease of life, given the amount of time you spend in the car. If you are a music aficionado, a new head unit for the entertainment system may also be worthwhile, but only if it integrates into the  existing dashboard without any modification.

Modifying the dashboard may turn out to be a headache as the job won’t look original and it’s not a reversible process as well. A new set of speakers to go with it would be nice also. Apart from this, just continue doing essential maintenance, including checks on consumables like tyres and battery and surely your Manza will continue giving you good service for years to come.
