I want to upgrade to an executive saloon and my budget is anything under Rs 25 lakh. I love Skoda cars and I am interested in the new Octavia. Is the new Octavia worth waiting for, or is it better to go for the current VW Jetta? What will the price of the diesel, dual-clutch seven-speed L&K version be?

AAA The new Octavia will certainly be worth the wait. It is built on Volkswagen’s all-new MQB platform and will be brimming with tech. It should be a cut above the current Jetta, and it looks better too. However, you will need to wait a bit as the new Octavia is expected only in the second half of 2013.
