I’ve been thinking about buying the V-Strom 250 SX for the longest time, and now that I’m finally about to get it, TVS drops the RTX 300. So, I’m now confused: should I wait for the RTX 300, or just get the V-Strom 250 SX right away?

The TVS Apache RTX 300 offers more features, is more powerful, and is a more modern motorcycle when compared to the Suzuki V-Strom 250 SX. Considering it is a brand-new product, there could be a few teething issues at the start, so that is something to keep in mind. You can wait for the RTX 300, but make sure to take a test ride before making up your mind.

The 1.5 petrol is smooth, efficient and well suited to city driving, and Kia's service network is strong. The Seltos also offers a comfortable ride, a spacious cabin and a well-rounded feature set in the HTK O trim. The Tata Sierra is a more interesting product with a larger and more premium-feeling cabin, but Tata's service consistency is still not quite at Kia or Hyundai's level. The Creta is a good alternative, but the Seltos is the newer, larger car and is the better value proposition here. Overall, the Seltos is the safest and most practical choice for long-term ownership.

In isolation, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F is a proven workhorse with a punchy engine, comfortable rider's traingle position and good highway stability, which makes it well-suited for longer daily runs. It is also relatively affordable to maintain and has a wide service network, which is important for a high-mileage commuter.That said, the 220F is now nearly 2 decades old and has only seen regulatory and minor feature-related updates since. It does not offer the refinement or modern features of newer-generation bikes in the segment. If your commute is mostly highway and you don't mind the old-school feel of the 220F, it can make sense for you. However, if you are looking for a more modern package with better refinement, consider Bajaj's own Pulsar N250, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V or Honda Hornet 2.0 as similiarly-priced and comparable alternatives. Try to take a test ride of all four before you make your decision to see where your preferences lie.
