Hi Team, I have a Ford Fiesta Diesel and am planning to exchange it for a VinFast EV. Would you recommend going ahead with this option? My monthly usage is around 1,000 km.

Go for the VinFast VF6 if you can install a home charger - at 1,000 km a month, you’ll save a lot over diesel, and your daily runs will be quieter and smoother. That usage suits an EV well, because one or two top-ups a week will cover you, and you’ll sidestep the diesel emission filter and clutch hassles that crop up in traffic as a Fiesta ages.

The VF6 is the sensible pick here because it is compact enough for city parking but still feels modern and comfortable, and running costs will be far lower than your diesel. The larger VF7 only makes sense if you truly need more space or do frequent long highway days.

A point to consider is that VinFast car’s dealer network in India is still growing, so make sure you have a dealer close by. As an option, you can consider the Hyundai Creta EV, which is a very sorted electric car and backed by a wide dealer network.

I would suggest you to retain your Fiesta alongside whatever practical car you buy if you are an enthusiast. You will definitely miss the Ford's driving dynamics after selling the Fiesta. Be it Vinfast or BYD, they are just a computer on wheels, just comfortable, silent, etc etc but will never give you the smile that the Fiesta gave!!!!

I just sold my SUV and am looking to upgrade, I am an enthusiastic driver and go for on-road trips a lot. I have a family of 4 adults and a 5 month old kid. I am looking for a 4-seater SUV with great driving experience with a car seat for my kid. Also, I need space for a full size stroller and at least for 2 suitcases. As I will drive and explore through this car, reliability is important and easy access to get things fixed if at all is important. My budget is between 2 and 3 crore. Many have suggested LC 300. Do you have any other suggestions?

I’m looking for a spacious, comfortable 5-seater that I can keep for 8-10 years. My priorities include excellent fuel efficiency, low maintenance, reliable ownership, good safety, comfort, strong resale value and essential features only. I’m happy to skip gimmicky features. My monthly running will be around 600-1,000 km that includes daily office commute and one long trip every 1-2 months. Help me choose the right car for my usage. Please be practical and challenge my assumptions. My situation: I am 31 and work as a software developer. Shortlist: - Tiago XE Petrol - Punch Pure+/Smart Petrol - Punch Pure+/Smart CNG - Brezza LXi turbo-petrol Please tell me: 1. Which one should I buy and why? 2. Petrol vs CNG for my usage? The CNG premium is around Rs. 1 lakh, and the nearby village pump may open around Diwali, but this is not guaranteed. 3. What real-world mileage can I expect with the AC on? 4. The Brezza LXI Turbo is far superior to the Punch and Tiago as far as smoothness, performance, and cabin space are concerned. It is also backed by Maruti's widespread support network, and the ownership experience is likely to be fuss-free. The on-road cost of the Brezza LXI will fall within your Rs 9 lakh budget, and even though you might miss a few features, it still feels worth opting for. Alternatively, you could also consider the Maruti Dzire VXI MT for its large boot, comfy ride and strong fuel efficiency.

It is one of the most spacious cars in the segment, with a genuinely usable third row and a comfortable ride that makes it an excellent family car. The petrol engine is smooth, refined and well suited to your running of under 1,000 km a month, where the hybrid premium is harder to justify.The Mahindra XUV 7XO is a strong alternative with a more powerful engine and a more feature-rich cabin, but the HyCross has the edge on space, comfort and long-term ownership experience.The Hyundai Alcazar and Kia Seltos are good cars, but they do not offer the same level of space or comfort, and the Renault Duster is more of a driver's car than a family car. The Toyota car mentioned above is the car you will be happiest with after five years of ownership.
