I want to buy the Vespa Officina, but I am confused about whether I should buy it now or wait for the Vespa GTS.

The Vespa Officina 8 is a special colourway that is only available at select dealerships and you'll have to get in touch with your nearest Vespa showroom to see if they can procure it. 

Coming to the Vespa GTS, Piaggio India hasn't indicated that any of the larger GTS Vespa scooters will be coming to India anytime soon. You could reach out to a Motoplex dealership and see if they will import one for you - on rare occasions, a miniscule amount of GTS scooters have been brought here based on customer demand. Do bear in mind that the GTS will cost significantly more than any Vespa bike or Aprilia bike on sale in India and sourcing spares and servicing them will be tougher than usual too.

Very strange that the GTS has not been brought here yet, considering there's such a demand for 350cc motorcycles, the research is definitely not been conducted well in India. The GTS 250 or 300bwould do extremely well in India for sure.

Strictly from performance and striking visuals standpoints, the Ather 450 Apex would be our recommendation. The 450 Apex is extremely zippy, handles well and has many feel good features which will make you appreciate it in the long run. However, it is quite a cramped machine for taller riders and its suspension is also quite stiff. If you want something more palatable for daily use and don't mind sacrificing some outright performance, take a look at the Ather Rizta Z 3.7 and TVS iQube S 4.7 / ST 5.3 variants. The Rizta will have more tech while the iQube will be the more traditonal scooter, so picking between the two will come down to which experience you resonate with more. Take test rides of these models before you make your decision to make an informed one.

Depending on your budget, the answer to your question will vary widely. If you can stretch up to Rs 5 lakh, options like the KTM 390 Adventure S and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 are our prime picks in the adventure tourer segment. They have punchy performance, good handling (KTM has the edge over RE here) and have enough comfort to tackle everything Indian roads can throw at you (RE is better here than KTM).If you want to stay below Rs 3 lakh, options like the TVS Apache RTX 300, Honda CB350 models, and Royal Enfield Classic/Bullet 350 should be the ones you take a test ride on. The RTX will feel faster and more capable, but the 350s have a different charm with their slow-revving motors and appealing design.Take test rides of all these machines before you make your decision.

We already have a Royal Enfield Classic 350 at home, and I want to buy something different. My daily commute is around 50km, travelling between home and the office. Since you already have a RE Classic 350 at home, we'd recommend you remove the Meteor 350 and Harley-Davidson X440 from your shortlist because these bikes will feel quite similar to your Classic. The 350cc Triumph Speed 400 and Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 will offer a more engaging riding experience with more performance and features on tap, and are the ones we'd advise you to choose between. Of the two, the Triumph bike has the more mellow nature, but it will still feel like a good step up from your Classic in terms of performance and handling. The Guerrilla, on the other hand, is quite excitable and of the two, this is definitely the more fun machine. Its suspension is a little taut, which enables it to have very engaging handling, but over bad roads, you will feel a little more of the road surface coming through to your back. The RE also has a crisper, more tech-laden TFT display, whereas the Triumph uses a simple digi-analogue unit.Take a test ride of both before you make your decision, since they are quite different to ride.

I own a Harley-Davidson X440. I feel the stock tyres don't offer enough grip, and the brakes are not particularly impressive. Otherwise, I really like the bike. Should I switch to different tyres or brake pads?

To improve the braking performance of your Harley-Davidson X440, we would first recommend replacing the brake fluid with the manufacturer-recommended grade and upgrading to high-quality sintered brake pads from brands such as EBC, SBS or Vesrah, if you can. For a better grip, consider swapping to better tyres from brands like Pirelli, Metzeler, Vredestein, etc., from your stock ones, but do not upsize as that can fundamentally impact the bike's handling.

Should I buy Harley-Davidson X440 T or the Honda CB350 H'ness?

While both the Harley-Davidson X440T and Honda CB350 H'ness have similiar engine architectures and cylinder counts, their riding experience is quite different. The CB350 is a textbook neo-retro roadster and its smaller engine will offer you better fuel economy but at the expense of outright performance. Its gearing is also quite tall which means you will have to make more frequent gear changes to keep the motor in its sweet spot. On the other hand, the H-D X440 T is quite a step up in terms of outright performance owing to its larger 440cc motor and it will definitely have better performance. It will return lower fuel economy but that's to be expected. Choose between the two based on your budget, brand preference and after taking a test ride of both to make an informed decision.
