I currently use a 2014 Honda Dream Yuga and am planning to upgrade to a new bike. I weigh around 95 kg and am 5’11” tall. My primary usage will be daily office commuting, with occasional highway rides and weekend trips. I have some lower back pain, so comfort, especially seating and suspension, is a key priority. I am currently confused between the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Honda CB350C, and whether I should wait for the upcoming Scrambler 350X. I am also considering a used Triumph Speed 400 (2025 model, 1,500 km run) available for around ₹2 lakh. Could you please suggest which option would be the best choice for comfort, ease of riding, and long-term usability?

Honestly, both bikes are great at their job and will suit your needs well, but they offer very different experiences. The Hunter 350 is a very different Royal Enfield from what we've seen before, but carries some signature strengths like plush ride quality, a characterful and torquey engine, as well as great curb appeal and good finish levels. Plus, when you buy a RE, you get access to a brand which has built a very good community and ownership experience in terms of events and rides, which is something few brands in India offer you today.Do bear in mind that the Hunter is a heavy machine, and this is just something you will have to work around. It's not as heavy as other Royal Enfields, but it is a good 20 kilos heavier than the TVS Ronin.Coming to the Ronin, this is a lighter, more agile and eager-feeling machine than the Hunter. It isn't overtly sporty and will be comfortable for daily use. The Ronin's lighter weight and smaller engine also translate to better fuel economy in general. The TVS is also the more affordable machine to purchase, and the price difference isn't insignificant. If you are on a tight budget, this is something to consider.Both bikes have a very different feel despite being similar on paper, and to make an informed decision before your next purchase, take a test ride of both.

Between the 350cc versions of the Triumph Scrambler 400 X and the KTM 390 Adventure, we'd recommend you pick the Scrambler over the Adventure. It is the easier bike to use in tight city traffic and is also a good highway bike. The 350cc 390 Adventure has a noticeable amount of vibration at all touch points and below 7,000rpm feels quite mellow - especially if you've ridden the 398cc version prior to this. You could also choose the 398cc variants of the KTM bike and get more performance at a significantly higher price if that's what you prioritize. Do bear in mind that inside the city at slower speeds, the big windscreen on the 390 Adventure models really blocks a lot of cooling air coming toward you and if you spend a lot of time in this situation, then it will get uncomfortable. Take test rides of both bikes to see which one you find easier to live with before you go ahead with your purchase.

Also see which brand has a dealer/service touchpoint near your residence, this will ensure you are near to an authorised mechanic in case you need service or repair support.Since you seem like someone who will keep the vehicle for the long run, we'd recommend you take a look at the ABS-equipped top two variants of the Suzuki Access, as that will be a valuable feature, especially given the unpredictable nature of our roads.
