Hi, I have shortlisted the Kia Seltos. My usage is primarily in the city, with perhaps one highway trip a year. Does it make sense to spend extra on ADAS for Delhi roads, or will I end up switching it off as I do in my other car? I also like that the Seltos offers most variants without ADAS. My second point is more of an observation. Kia should have offered the GTX with the HTX's beige interior, or at least the GTX headlamps on the HTX. I feel I have to choose between a less appealing interior and an average-looking exterior. I prefer the cabin feel and the lower price, so I'm leaning towards the HTX IVT. Should I spend the extra money on the HTX A IVT, or will I end up keeping the ADAS switched off in the city?

Buy the Seltos petrol. Kia’s current petrol engines are E20-ready, so the ethanol noise should not worry you, and the real-world hit is usually a small drop in mileage, not reliability. For mostly city use, the petrol is smoother, quieter and simpler to live with, and you avoid diesel’s soot filter quirks that show up on short trips. You also save on the higher upfront price of the diesel and sidestep longer-term policy risk around diesels in big cities.Go diesel only if your running is high and largely highway. The diesel will give you noticeably better mileage and relaxed cruising, so if you do something like 1,200-1,500 km a month at steady speeds, the maths can work in its favour. Just keep in mind it needs occasional longer drives to keep the DPF happy.If you are buying before year-end and plan regular mixed city use, the petrol Seltos is the safer, easier choice. The only real trade-off is fuel cost on long trips, where the diesel will sip less.

Pick the MG Windsor EV Exclusive Pro, because your main worry is fuel price and ethanol - an EV sidesteps both and makes daily running far cheaper if you can charge at home. In city use, an EV is happier in traffic and with the AC on, and even if the battery loses 15-20% range in 4-5 years, most owners still have more than enough for a normal weekday. MG usually backs the battery for many years, so you are covered if degradation is abnormal.The Seltos 1.5 NA is solid and E20-ready, so ethanol itself is not a deal-breaker. But mileage does dip a bit with higher ethanol, and if your monthly running is high, fuel bills will sting.
