•24wI am planning to buy a new car with a budget of ₹12–14 lakh for family use, with a daily commute of up to 12 km. The car should handle poor road conditions smoothly. I intend to purchase the base model and modify it as per my requirements. I am considering the Hyundai Creta base model and the Maruti Suzuki Victoris base model. Should I choose one of these, or is there another car better suited to my needs?

For your requirements, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris is the better pick. The Victoris will be slightly better behaved than the Hyundai Creta on poor roads. If you want other options to consider, the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara or the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder are also good choices.
