Hi, I am currently driving Hyundai Venue manual and am planning to upgrade. I have narrowed my search down to Honda Elevate CVT and Kia Seltos IVT. Since my usage is mostly within Bangalore and to my native place Chikmagalur (mostly ghats) once every 2-3 months. Which car is best suited for this purpose?

Pick the Kia Seltos IVT. Its refined 115hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine and the smooth CVT automatic makes it ideal for Bangalore traffic. It has enough power for your outstation drives on ghats. The Seltos also has a more premium and quieter cabin compared to the Elevate, it has more features and its a larger SUV too, so it's better suited for families. The Kia's ride is also comfortable, be it in the city or out on the highway.

The Elevate CVT will be more affordable to buy and you'll also appreciate the peace of mind associated with Honda ownership. But as a package, it isn't as rounded as the Seltos. So for your use case, the Seltos IVT is the one to go for.

@meghna.rao Go for Elevate because worry free driving with honda engineering especially in ghat sections.

@meghna.rao Go for Seltos because it is best package available right now among all mid size SUVs , best cabin experience, comfort, very silent and spacious too and also very reliable because engine used in Seltos as same as in Creta so in reliability test it also pass.

@meghna.rao Go for Elevate because in current ethanol fiasco Honda engineering seems more reliable and peaceful option

M confused between fronx delta plus & venue hx4 na petrol ... My driving is mostly around city .. 1500 km per month .. which car is better between this two ?

@abinash.1 For your city heavy usage, Fronx Delta Plus is a better choice, its petrol engine feels smoother, is more fuel-efficient and easier to drive in traffic. Venue 1.2 NA Petrol is reliable but feels under-powered, especially with AC and passengers, and won't be as efficient in stop-go conditions. All in all, Fronx is a better option for daily driving.

I am planning to buy new car my daily driving is almost 50 km.my budget around 11-22 lac 6 family members

@sekhon please go for petrol/Hybrid mid size SUVs but as per my recommendation go for petrol only because your running is low and for hybrid you need to spend extra 2-2.5 lacs. Go for Kia seltos 1.5 NA, MT/IVT as per your choice and go for only mid variants which provides you all necessary features like HTK / HTK (O).

Hello I am a Doctor currently drive around in an 2018 Honda Jazz, I am very happy with it but it's time now to get a new car and budget around Rs. 16-18 lakhs, I need a car which easily seats 5 and with a good trunk for outstation travels each month, my monthly run is around 200km tops when in city and a highway run every 2-3 months is around 300kms, I live in Mumbai so you guys know the usual problems, so need a advice as I am scared for e20 and e20+ fuel changes and am scared about EV resale prices, currently short listed the Kia Seltos (prefer petrol or CNG (if any chance in near future))as the most favourite and need some advise for other cars. Would a diesel make sense when I don't drive every day?

Based on your usage, a diesel car does not make sense. Your monthly running is low, and your highway trips are infrequent, so you will not recover the higher upfront cost of a diesel. A Petrol car is the right choice here. The Kia Seltos is a good option, but at your budget you will be looking at the lower variants, so you might have to skip a few features. On E20, do not worry. Modern petrol engines are engineered to handle E20 fuel and are engineered to take on higher blends too (upto a certain level). On CNG, there is no factory CNG option on this Kia car, but given your low running, a CNG car does not make financial sense anyway. In case you're looking to get an electric car, and you can arrange for home charging, consider the Kia Syros EV or MG Windsor Pro. Both are spacious five-seater EVs which should serve your needs.
