Hi Autocar India Team, Thanks a lot for your videos and efforts towards the Automotive industry. I am looking to purchase my first luxury car entry level with a max budget of 60 lakhs. My choices are Audi Q3/A4//GLA200/X1. My main commute is home to office & vice versa, and may be weekend family drives in the city. max of 100kms per week. I am looking for petrol and want to keep the vehicle long-term.

From your picks, the Audi A4 petrol is a solid choice. For mostly city office runs and weekend family drives, it is the quietest and most comfortable of your four, with a smoother ride and a nicer back seat than the small SUVs. Its 2.0 turbo petrol is a proven motor and feels more relaxed in the city and highway than the GLA 200’s smaller 1.3 and the X1’s 3‑cylinder 1.5.

Value also lines up. The A4 Premium Plus typically fits within Rs. 60 lakh on-road in many cities, and it still feels properly luxurious inside. If you are frequently travelling on rougher roads where extra ground clearance is needed, the Q3 is a solid choice and uses the same 2.0, but adds weight and all-wheel drive.

My wife (5'0") and I are buying an automatic car primarily for city commutes with occasional highway trips. We are considering the Kia Seltos. Is it a good choice specifically regarding seating ergonomics and visibility for a 5-foot tall driver?

The Kia Seltos is a good all-rounder, but for a 5-foot-tall driver, it is not the easiest car to live with. The seat height adjustment is limited, and the bonnet is relatively high, which can make judging the front of the car difficult. The A-pillars are also quite thick, which can create blind spots at junctions. The Seltos is also a larger car than you really need for city commutes, which makes parking and manoeuvring in tight spaces more challenging.A better option would be the Kia Syros. It has a higher seating postion, lower bonnet line, better all-round visibility and a more compact footprint, which makes it much easier to drive and park in the city. The seat height adjustment is also more accommodating for shorter drivers. The Syros is also a very comfortable and reliable car with low running costs, which makes it a great long-term ownership proposition.

Hello. I own a 2022 Tata Punch manual and have recently started facing severe cabin rattling while driving off-road and while reversing at low speeds. I have escalated the issue to Tata Motors' top management, but there has been no solution. I am now planning to upgrade to a 1.5-litre SUV. My average driving is around 100km per month. Please suggest a good SUV with better build quality, performance, mileage and, most importantly, reliability.

My typical driving pattern consists of 60% highway and 40% city driving, primarily in a mining region where road conditions are challenging. I have a Tata Nexon Creative AMT that is only a year old, but I have already had to replace the spark plugs four times and the ignition coil once. I am still facing engine misfires and vibrations inside the car. I am honestly fed up with Tata's service, as they have been unable to resolve the issue. I am therefore planning to sell the Nexon and buy a Kia Seltos with a manual transmission this time. My priority was safety earlier, and it remains my top priority. I currently drive a Grand i10 Manual petrol and am now planning to buy a new compact SUV that is comfortable, fuel efficient and has low maintenance. My usage is 35km of daily office commute in Delhi-NCR traffic. Please advice which option is best fit amongst Hyundai Venue HX 6T, SONET HTK+O and XUV 3XO.

Go for the Hyundai Venue. With your daily 35km commute in Delhi NCR traffic, comfort and low maintenance are key, and the Venue delivers on both. The 1.2 NA petrol is smooth, refined and easy to drive in stop-start conditions, while Hyundai’s service network and ownership experience are among the best in the segment. The HX6T variant also gives you a good balance of features without pushing the budget too far.The Sonet HTK+O is mechanically very similar, but the Venue is a newer model and offers a more spacious cabin. The XUV 3XO is also a good option, but its turbo petrol engine won't be as efficient as the Hyundai’s.Overall, the Venue is the most sensible upgrade from your Grand i10 for daily city use.

Maruti’s service reach and low maintenance costs add to the ownership peace of mind.The Sonet and Venue DCTs are good cars, but the DCT gearbox is not ideal for heavy traffic.
