•20wThe garage at my house currently consists of a 2008 Hyundai Santro Xing and a Skoda Slavia. Dad was planning on buying a sub 4m car which would ultimately replace the Santro for city jobs. He was eyeing the Citroen C3 Turbo AT. Recently, however Skoda dealership here started offering steal deals on their test drive vehicles. So I was wondering. Should we go ahead and buy the C3 or get a Kylaq instead?

While the Skoda Kylaq is an altogether nicer package than the Citroen C3, we wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend buying a test drive vehicle. These cars are driven by prospective buyers of different skill levels and can show accelerated wear as a result. Test cars also often pick up dings and damage over drives, so it's best to avoid them. You could consider a customer pre-owned example instead.
That said, the C3 Turbo AT is a fine city car. It's got a great engine and gearbox combo, and ride comfort is also impressive. Citroen has also done well to spruce up the C3's cabin. Citroen's service network isn't very widespread, but if you have an outlet close by, the C3 could be a good pick for your father.
