I am planning to buy an EV primarily for city use as a self-driver. My app runs about 600 km per month, and my budget is around ₹20 lakh (can stretch if needed). I have ruled out the BE 6 due to its rear seat, and I find the Tiago and Tigor have cheap-filling plastics inside. I am considering the Nexon or the Curve. My priorities are comfort, easy ingress and exit, reliability and good resale value. What do you recommend?

The Hyundai Creta EV would be a good choice; the ride comfort is excellent, the space inside is good, and it is very well loaded. Ingress and egress are natural and easy, and the car is very reliable with all of the powertrain as well as the body electronics well sorted. As for resale value, it's hard to predict that for any EV currently, as benchmarks have not yet been set.

Since you want to upgrade from your Tata Nexon to a fun-to-drive manual car, you should consider the Volkswagen Taigun 1.5 TSI MT. The Taigun is one of the best handling midsize SUVs, and its 150hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol is one of the punchiest around. You could also consider the Skoda Kushaq or the Skoda Slavia/Volkswagen Virtus, but none of those get a manual gearbox option with the 1.5 TSI engine - only a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.

I need a pillion-friendly motorcycle suitable for family use. My daily commute is about 20 km. Please suggest options. Since you have had a good experience with a Honda machine, you could stick with the brand and go with the Honda CB300F. The CB300F is light, comfortable, spacious and will return decent fuel economy. If you want to switch brands, the Bajaj Pulsar N250 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250 make for good upgrade options with their smooth engines and comfortable ergonomics. If you don't mind staying in the same displacement range while getting a significant performance bump, the KTM 160 Duke and Yamaha MT-15 warrant consideration. With their liquid-cooled engines and light weights, these two will give you the performance step up you want without sacrificing on mileage.

I prefer a 5-seater with good handling, preferably a compact SUV or SUV, within a budget of ₹17-20 lakh. I have shortlisted the Nexon, Sonet, Venue, Grand Vitara, Victoris, Seltos and, after its launch, the Sierra. I’m considering the higher or second-highest variants, and my preference is automatic. Please suggest. You will need to stretch your Rs 20 lakh budget slightly because the entry-level Tata Sierra (Adventure+ variant) turbo-petrol automatic is priced at Rs 17.99 lakh ex-showroom. It is the newest, largest and most desirable option from the list, and if you've got your heart set on it, go for it. You could also consider the Hyundai New Venue N Line, a relatively compact option that feels sporty and is quite nice to drive.
