•19wAfter 19 years, I’m looking to upgrade from my first-generation Wagon R for physical reasons. I’m not a fan of too many features but want similar roominess, easy ingress and egress, good manoeuvrability, minimal maintenance, and peace of mind, as I plan to keep the car for a long time. My driving is mostly in city traffic with occasional highway runs. Do turbo engines make sense for city use, or have modern engines evolved enough? I’ve shortlisted the i20 and Amaze for their smooth 4-cylinder automatics, but I’m unsure about ingress and egress. My budget is ₹12 lakh.

The best choice based on your requirements would be the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. You may already be familiar with the ease and hassle-free nature of Maruti Suzuki cars, and the Brezza is no different. It has a smooth 4-cylinder petrol engine with a smooth torque converter, making city drives effortless.
Also, the high-set seats make it easy to get in and out of, and as an overall package, it has all the necessary bits. The VXI variant would be the best choice and fit comfortably within your budget.
