I own a 2024 Creta. The company provided led strip headlights that are very poor. The illumination on highways is not at all enough. Since it has an LED strip, there is no option to increase watt by changing the LED bulb. Are aftermarket modifications to fit LED projectors or any such solution safe and advisable? What can I do?

The LED strip on the Creta is actually a daytime running lamp (DRL). Its purpose is to make your car more visible to other road users, not to light up the road ahead. For illumination, you’ll need to use the headlamps on low beam. If you find the main headlamp performance unsatisfactory, you could explore aftermarket options like higher wattage bulbs, but keep in mind that this could void the manufacturer's warranty. I am confused about buying a car, as my annual running is around 2,000 km. Please suggest between the Creta SX and XUV 7XO (MT/AT) for city use.

With just 2,000 km a year and mostly city use, the Hyundai Creta SX petrol automatic is the better fit. The Creta is easier to drive in traffic, has a smoother CVT automatic gearbox and is more compact, which makes it easier to park and manoeuvre in the city. Hyundai's service network is also excellent, and the car is known for its reliability and low running costs. The XUV 7XO is a larger, more powerful SUV, but is also more expensive and much larger than the Creta which makes it more cumbersome to drive in traffic. The Creta SX petrol automatic will give you a more relaxed and hassle-free ownership experience.

I am using a Datsun redi-GO 2016 model and am planning to upgrade to a 5-seater automatic car. I mostly use it in city traffic, with an average daily travel of 60 km. I have a bit of a back problem, so I need a car that is suited for long-term ownership. I am open to suggestions for current or upcoming cars, except Tata and Mahindra. I initially shortlisted the Creta S (O) and later tried the Kylaq, but the Creta is expensive for my budget. My budget is Rs. 15-18 lakh.

I want to buy a car for 40% city use and 60% long trips. I own a 2015 model of Celerio AGS. Should I buy Baleno AGS considering E20 fuel in the future.
