India’s Mahaveer Raghunathan has wrapped up the 2025 Italian GT Sprint Championship on a high, taking a class win at the Monza season finale. Racing a Ferrari 296 GT3 for team AF Corse, Raghunathan and his teammate Lorenzo Ferrari finished P6 overall in Race 2, and took victory in the GT3 Pro-Am class.
With this, Raghunathan and Ferrari finish second overall in the GT3 Pro-Am standings, just four points behind class winners Mattia Michelotto and Ignazio Zanon.

The Monza finale had its share of highs and lows for Raghunathan. In Race 1, he and Ferrari finished fourth overall (and P2 in the Pro-Am class). But a post-race penalty for earlier contact dropped them to P7 in the final classification.
In Race 2, Raghunathan recovered from an earlier incident and pulled off some key overtakes before handing the car over to his teammate. A late-race Safety Car then bunched up the field and Ferrari took full advantage of this to secure the class win – the duo’s third this season, after Vallelunga and Imola.
Heading into the finale, Raghunathan and Ferrari were third overall in GT3 Pro-Am standings. Their strong points haul at Monza moved them up to second overall in the championship.
Raghunathan is perhaps best known for his controversial F2 ban. But he’s been looking to turn over a new leaf and has since shifted focus to GT racing. Earlier this year, the Indian also finished second overall in the Italian GT Endurance Championship’s Pro-Am class.
“It feels great to end the season with a win at Monza. Race 1 was disappointing with the penalty, without which we would have won the championship. But we came back strong in Race 2. The car felt fantastic, and the team did a great job.” Raghunathan said.
“We started this year at the first race with a win at Vallelunga, and to end the season with a win in Monza shows we’ve been consistently fast all year. Even though we were the quickest, we missed winning the championship by just four points due to things outside our control. Overall, it’s been a strong and consistent season with AF Corse.”
