The Hungarian GP will be the final race on the F1 calendar before the summer break kicks off. Following last weekend’s Belgian GP, Oscar Piastri has now extended his championship lead to 16 points over Lando Norris. So, which way will the title battle swing at the Hungaroring?

Here’s your complete guide on when and where to tune in from India:

2025 F1 Hungarian GP schedule

Piastri now has six wins this season compared to Norris’ four. The Hungarian GP is also where Piastri scored his first-ever F1 win last year, so he’ll be looking for a repeat win here. Should he pull this off, he’ll extend his championship lead over Norris to at least 23 points – that’s nearly a race win.

Max Verstappen and George Russell are the only other racers to score wins this year. Ferrari will be another team to look out for at Hungary. Armed with upgrades at Spa, Leclerc secured a podium finish, while Hamilton went from pit lane to P7. Crucially, after the race Hamilton stated that he feels “much more comfortable behind the wheel.”

As for the weather, the forecast suggests there could be cloudy conditions this weekend, with possible rainfall on race day.

2025 F2 Hungarian GP schedule

It remains a close fight for the lead of the F2 championship. Invicta Racing’s Leonardo Fornaroli currently leads the standings, but he’s just three points ahead of Richard Verschoor. Jack Crawford and Alexander Dunne also remain in contention, just nine and 11 points off the lead, respectively. This means any of the top four drivers could move to the top of the standings after Budapest.

Kush Maini returns to the track where he secured his maiden F2 win last year. The Indian driver is currently P13 overall and will be looking to add some crucial points to his tally ahead of the summer break.
