Tata Punch vs Tata Nexon

Hello team, I need some help deciding between an ICE car and an EV. My family has five members, and our usage will mainly involve city driving, although our daily running isn't very high. We also take occasional Mumbai-Goa-Mumbai trips. My priorities are comfort, practicality, safety and low overall ownership costs. I was initially deciding between the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Mahindra XUV 3XO, with the Brezza being the more commonly recommended option. However, when I started comparing on-road prices, I realised that the Tata Punch EV and Nexon EV also fall within consideration. Even the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara could be an option, depending on the variant. This has made me question whether buying an ICE car still makes sense for my usage. The Tata Nexon EV 45 looks particularly attractive because of its battery warranty and additional features, such as ADAS. The lower running costs of an EV are another major advantage. My main concern is its practicality on long trips. I occasionally travel between Mumbai and Goa with my family and luggage, so I don't want range limitations and charging stops to become a headache. For this kind of usage, what would you recommend: the Brezza or XUV 3XO, or the Punch EV, Nexon EV or eVitara? I am not looking for the fanciest car. I mainly want something comfortable for five people, safe, reliable, economical to own and practical enough for occasional Mumbai-Goa trips.

My city commute is in Pune or Hyderabad, with around 250 km of city driving and 800-1,000 km of highway driving per month. I have shortlisted the Tata Nexon CNG, Punch CNG, and Altroz diesel, but I’m not sure which one to choose. I am concerned about fuel economy, but I’m worried that I might face difficulties if CNG is not available. That is why I considered diesel, although I’m also unsure about its future. I enjoy driving, just FYI. Please let me know which car would be a better choice for my needs.

I want a car with decent mileage, good safety and comfortable highway manners. I am confused between the Tata Nexon CNG and Punch CNG. Which would you recommend for long-term family use?

My car usage is hardly twice or thrice a week. I don't use my car for daily travel. My budget is Rs 10 lakh. I currently have a 2012 Hyundai Eon Sportz and want to upgrade to a better make and model, preferably a crossover or SUV. Which would be the best option among the following: Tata Punch/Nexon, Maruti Fronx, Renault Kiger, and Mahindra 3XO?

This makes driving difficult and tiring, so I am considering exchanging my car for an automatic. My budget, after factoring in the Nexon’s resale value, is around Rs. 12-14 lakh. I need an automatic that is reliable, fuel-efficient, and maintenance-friendly. I am currently considering the Punch EV, Nexon DCA, Brezza AT, and Elevate V CVT, as discounts make the Elevate fit within my budget. I mainly use the car for my office commute of around 85 km daily, with occasional weekend trips of 500-600 km. I have a family of four, and this will be my only car. My office has free EV charging infrastructure, which makes me consider the Punch EV. However, I am concerned about its range on longer weekend trips, so I am also looking at petrol alternatives.
