Maruti Suzuki Brezza vs Tata Punch

Hello team, I need some help deciding between an ICE car and an EV. My family has five members, and our usage will mainly involve city driving, although our daily running isn't very high. We also take occasional Mumbai-Goa-Mumbai trips. My priorities are comfort, practicality, safety and low overall ownership costs. I was initially deciding between the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Mahindra XUV 3XO, with the Brezza being the more commonly recommended option. However, when I started comparing on-road prices, I realised that the Tata Punch EV and Nexon EV also fall within consideration. Even the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara could be an option, depending on the variant. This has made me question whether buying an ICE car still makes sense for my usage. The Tata Nexon EV 45 looks particularly attractive because of its battery warranty and additional features, such as ADAS. The lower running costs of an EV are another major advantage. My main concern is its practicality on long trips. I occasionally travel between Mumbai and Goa with my family and luggage, so I don't want range limitations and charging stops to become a headache. For this kind of usage, what would you recommend: the Brezza or XUV 3XO, or the Punch EV, Nexon EV or eVitara? I am not looking for the fanciest car. I mainly want something comfortable for five people, safe, reliable, economical to own and practical enough for occasional Mumbai-Goa trips.

Please consider loan interest, fuel costs, maintenance, depreciation, and resale value. 5. Is the Brezza worth the extra money? 6. Give me one final choice and tell me what I should avoid.

My office has free EV charging infrastructure, which makes me consider the Punch EV. However, I am concerned about its range on longer weekend trips, so I am also looking at petrol alternatives.

I also considered the Brezza, but its lack of a proper spare wheel concerns me, as I have experienced several tyre punctures in the past. My maximum budget is Rs. 14 lakh. I am also unsure whether an EV would suit me within this budget, as I do not want to deal with range anxiety at this stage. Based on your road tests, which car would you recommend? Is the Tata Punch Adventure S CNG AMT the best choice for my requirements, or should I consider another option?

The Punch Adventure S CNG AMT is currently my preferred choice because it seems to offer a good balance of features, practicality and running costs. At its price, I also get more features, a CNG + AMT combination and what appears to be a very strong safety package. I was also considering the Brezza ZXi and VXi CNG, particularly for their larger size and Maruti's reputation for reliability. However, the lack of a proper spare wheel concerns me, as I have experienced tyre punctures several times. My budget is a maximum of Rs. 14 lakh. I am also unsure whether an electric car under Rs. 14 lakh would be suitable for me, as I would prefer to avoid range anxiety at this point.
