Tata Motors has reduced prices across its entire lineup of passenger cars except the Nano. The Indica, Vista, Indigo and Manza will see a price reduction ranging from Rs 29,000-Rs 50,000.

However, the manufacturer's UVs are set to become more expensive owing to the hike in excise duty (from 27 percent to 30 percent). The Sumo, Safari Storme and the Aria will see a Rs 35,000-Rs 50,000 increase in prices.

The Tata Manza is currently available in two engine options, a 1.3-litre 90bhp diesel and 90bhp petrol. The base LS trim is now priced at Rs 5.99 lakh as opposed to Rs 6.49 lakh earlier.

The LX variant comes with electrically operated AC controls, optional touchscreen navigation system and all features of the base version. It is now priced at Rs 6.54 lakh (Rs 6.93 lakh earlier).

The VX variant has all the equipment available on the LX but also gets ABS and is now priced at Rs 7.19 lakh (Rs 7.55 lakh previously).

With the manufacturer discontinuing the EXL variant, the EX variant is now the top-end one and comes with automatic climate control, eight-spoke alloy wheels, touchscreen navigation, tilt-steering and ABS with EBD, among others. Buyers can also order the Manza EX with a contrasting shade on the roof as well. However, the Italian leather seats in the EXL variant are not available on the EX variant. The EX variant now comes at a discount of around Rs 30,000.

Dealers who have leftover stocks of the EXL variant are offering the erstwhile top-end model at a discount of around Rs 70,000.

Along with the price reduction, the carmaker has also introduced a new assurance scheme known as the Club Class Buyback Assurance, which offers an assured buyback to customers with 60% of the value of the car after three years of ownership.
