Hyundai has launched the facelifted Xcent with prices for the range starting at Rs 5.38 lakh and going up to Rs 8.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As with our previous reports, the rear of the car has been heavily tweaked with new wrap-around tail-lamps extending into the boot-lid, a new boot lid and a revised rear bumper as well. Up front, the car gets a more prominent hexagonal grille in line with Hyundai’s latest design language along with a new bumper.

In terms of equipment and variants, the updated Xcent is available in five trim levels with a new E+ trim joining the line-up. The earstwhile Base trim has now been rebadged as E – a move previously seen on the Creta. The E+ is positioned above the E variant adding in some creature comforts for the occupants to the equipment list.

Mechanically, Hyundai claims to have tweaked the suspension to improve the car’s ride and handling while under the hood, the old 1.1-litre three-cylinder diesel engine has made way for a larger and more powerful 75hp 1.2-litre three-cylinder unit. The petrol motor carries forward unchanged. As with the pre-facelifted car, a five-speed manual gearbox is offered as standard with the petrol additionally offered with a four-speed automatic unit as well.

Here is a look at the equipment offered across each trim level:
